Midwest POAC Special Meeting

June 20, 2008 , Winona , MN

The meeting was called to order on June 20, 2008 , at 7:05 p.m. by Futurity Chair, Jackie Guthrie, due to the resignation of the President, and absence of the Vice President.

Jared Katzenberger moved that the minutes from the 5/24/08 meeting at Hinckley , MN be approved as published on the website. Seconded by Corey Damman. Motion carries.

The bylaw change to Article II, Sec. III, which was voted on at the last meeting, needs to be voted on for the second time. Anne Dykstra moved to approve the change to read: “The term of Officers and Directors shall be for two years. Seconded by Becky Victor-Baker. Motion carries.

The website address is www.midwestpoac.com. We are still seeking candidate photos for the website. Please email to Jackie at jbjspoa2@charter.net.

FYI for members: Remember the 2008 Midwest Futurity will be held in West Salem , Wi on Aug. 16 & 17. This is the last year of the “jackpot type” futurity. Next year we are adopting the nomination & payment process. More information to come! The following people have stepped up and volunteered to help our club:

Stacey Llanas – Youth Committee Coordinator

Sami Searle – Youth magazine reporter

Pam Coombs – Adult magazine reporter

Stacey had several activities for the Youth at the Regional show in Winona . The kids really enjoyed this. She is working hard to get an active group going. Larry and Crystal Myers sponsored a Youth Horizon Award for an 8 & under rider at the Regional Show. More information on this to come! A BIG THANKS to all of you for your help and support.

The Midwest Challenge shows will be held in Sterling , IL on November 28, 29, and 30, 2008. These Wisconsin POAC shows will offer 12 Wahl clippers as High Point awards. Contact Dawn Walther for more information.

Election of Officers:

Becky Victor-Baker nominated Jared Katzenberger for President. Sheryl Quigley seconded. Dawn Walther moved that nominations cease and a unanimous ballot be cast for Jared. Seconded by Anne Dykstra. Unanimous.

Fred Netz nominated Kevin Dykstra for Vice President. Judy Katzenberger seconded. Dawn Walther moved that nominations cease and a unanimous ballot be cast for Kevin. Seconded by Fred Netz. Unanimous.

Unanimous.

Curtis Sieck nominated Corey Damman for Treasurer. Jared Katzenberger seconded. Hazel Zimmerman moved that nominations cease and a unanimous ballot be cast for Corey. Seconded by Fred Netz. Unanimous.

Officers for 2008 – 2010 are:

President: Jared Katzenberger

Vice President: Kevin Dykstra

Secretary: Judy Katzenberger

Treasurer: Corey Damman

With no other business being before the group, Chuck Patterson moved to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Fred Netz. Unanimous.
