President Jared Katzenberger called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.

Heather Hassebroek made a motion to accept the Secretary minutes as read from the June 26, 2009 meeting.

Treasurer’s Report: The amount in the checkbook is $9,312.80. $4,197.00 was paid to Iowa State Fairgrounds for the Futurity show in October 2009. The profit from the show was $3,641.00. There are also stallion and mare nominations in the balance, along with memberships starting to come in.

Membership dues are due on 5/1/2010 -- $10 for a family membership

New Business: The Midwest Regional Show will be held in Lincoln, NE on June 17 (Promo), 18, 19 and 20, 2010. The NE Club needs help with the following: Announcer, gate people, sponsorships, patterns, promo and inspectors.

May 1 is the dues date for the performance futurities. The 2009 Futurity paid out over $7,000 overall. For 2010 there are 12 stallions nominated and 45 mares have been nominated from all over the country.

Stallion nominations were due on 11/11, but were extended to 12/1 for 2009. Heather Hassebroek made a motion to have the stallion nominations on 1/1 instead of 11/1 per our present futurity rules. Kim Olson second the motion. Motion passed.

We are in need of a web liason. Someone who would be willing to get information together for JoEllen to put on the website. Also Missy Katzenberger is asking for news to put in the POAC magazine for the Midwest Club. We are in need of pictures to promote on the website.

Heather Hassebroek and Judy Katzenberger will do a year-end wrap of events from the Midwest Regional Club.

Heather Hassebroek made a motion to have a one-page ad in the national POAC magazine and in IA, MN and WI Newsletters to promote the 2010 futurity. Bev Krueger second the motion. Motion passed.

Gene Zimmerman said that he would check into the possibility of the Midwest Regional Club having a show at the Windom arena in Windom, MN. Will get the information back to the Club.

Next meeting will be held Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Midwest Regional Show in Lincoln, NE.

Rick Niemeyer made a motion to adjourn at 4:40 p.m. Gene Zimmerman second the motion.
