The Midwest Pony Of The Americas Club was born on May 2, 1986 in Mason City, Iowa, the original home of the POAC. Founders were Dr. Julian Nemmers, Wanda Victor, and Jackie Guthrie. They saw a need to offer the youth and their families an opportunity to promote and showcase this wonderful breed throughout the Midwest area. The Midwest region consists of the states of Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. For memberships purposes it also includes the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northwest Territories.

The MWPOAC is an officially sanctioned, recognized POA Club operating under our parent organization, the POAC. We host shows, have a yearly futurity, and conduct meetings. Future plans include offering: year-end high point awards; a new futurity program; a youth board of directors; and a youth royalty contest. We provide monetary support to the MW Regional and International Shows. We are always looking for new avenues in which we can further promote our youth and the POA. Come and join us!
